Service Learning
K20 Center supports interdisciplinary service learning projects that connect schools and communities with teams of OU students, faculty, staff and administrators who work to address local needs by designing, building, and deploying real systems to solve problems.
Participating teams are
- multidisciplinary - drawing students and faculty from across the university;
- vertically-integrated - maintaining a mix of freshman through seniors, graduates, post-doctorates, faculty, staff and adminstrators;
- long-term - participating in a project for multiple semesters;
- assessed - continually refined; and
- transferable - disseminated for use in other schools, universities, and communities.
The continuity, depth, and disciplinary breadth of these teams enable delivery of projects of significant benefit to schools and communities.
